I am a life-long crafter - sewing, knitting, embroidery, and recently quilting and crochet. I learnt my skills from my mother, grandmother, friends, and by lots of trial and error. I am delighted that I am able to pass my love of handcrafts on to my daughters who are already showing a strong creative flair.

I have a particular love of vintage fabric and notions, probably as a result of rummaging through Mum’s fabric stash as a child. She still has a great box of fabric with many pieces dating back to the Seventies when she made clothes for my sister and me. I am also a keen op-shopper and love the thrill of hunting through shops looking for treasure.

I started selling my craft a few years ago after my handmade gifts became popular with friends and I began to receive requests for custom orders. I opened an Etsy store in 2009 and through that became involved in DUST and BrisStyle, both great communities of Australian crafters.

My focus is creating patchwork quilts and cushions, crochet blankets and cushions, brooches and cards with a goal of using remnant, re-purposed and thrifted materials. I take inspiration from the materials themselves as well as vintage craft books and patterns. As a result all of my items are one-of-a-kind.
